Meet Donna
Dr. Donna Watson is an internationally known speaker and the best-selling author of several books. An educator, she has enjoyed a forty-year career in training and motivational speaking.
The high-energy Watson has spoken to audiences throughout the country on stress management, motivation, leadership and related topics. She has led seminars and delivered keynote speeches to Fortune 500 executives, government agencies, associations, men, and women in towns and cities throughout North America. She is known for her warm and witty style, which encourages people to think, grow and feel good about themselves. Loving the Lord and praying before each presentation that He will use her as an instrument of His peace and love, has always been her motive.
Dr. Watson holds an undergraduate degree in education and an MBA and PhD in management. Her doctoral dissertation was on stress management.
She is the author of 101 Ways To Enjoy Life’s Simple Pleasures and 101 Simple Ways To Be Good To Yourself. She has also recorded two albums, Let Go and Live on stress and self-esteem, and Winning Against Stress, which deals with stress management. As a sideline, while writing her dissertation, she wrote three cookbooks.
Her newest venture, in addition to “A Cup of Tea for the Heart” series, is her new book, How to Get and Keep a Job, which will be available to high schools, vo-tech schools, colleges and universities on-line and in paperback form for the general public in 2010.
Dr. Watson is the co-founder of U R Special Ministries, Inc. a nonprofit program that helps at-risk children feel important by providing them with new clothing three times each year. She is also the founder of Baby Luv which is program that provides miniature quilts for preemie babies at three major hospitals in the Oklahoma City area. She was instrumental in starting the Prayer Power Hotline and weekly church services for The Wellington Retirement Center, where she and her husband, Dr. Robert Watson, taught Bible studies for a number of years.
Currently Dr. Watson and her husband reside in Edmond, Oklahoma, where they enjoy time with their two daughters and their families. She counts spending time with family and friends, writing, sewing, and painting as among her personal simple pleasures.
